At the Annual Business Meeting (ABM) of the global legal network ALFA International held in Chicago on October 26 and 27, 2023, the German medium-sized law firm Tiefenbacher was honored as "Law Firm of the Year 2023". The award was presented by the CEO, Jessica Zaroski Bauer, and the Chairman of the Board, Eddy Hayes, to Dr. Gero Schneider, attorney and partner and head of the International Division practice group, and Christin Krämer, attorney and partner and supporting member of the International Division practice group.
With 150 member firms, 80 in the U.S. and 70 in Canada, Mexico, Latin America, Europe, Asia, Australia and Africa, ALFA International is the world's leading network of independent law firms. Through ALFA International, more than 10,000 lawyers are connected, giving clients access to a global range of services. ALFA International law firms use this network to provide high quality and (cost) efficient legal advice in an international environment. The network consists of 14 practice groups, which are structured according to legal areas and conduct independent client seminars lasting several days.
The firm's award demonstrates its presence and contribution in and to the network, in which Tiefenbacher has been active as an exclusive German member for more than 20 years. This position within the network is certainly not least due to the consistent expansion of the International Division since 2013 and the internationally successful and steadily growing work in corporate/M&A, insolvency, commercial as well as employment and tax law of Dr. Gero Schneider, Christin Krämer and Dr. Sebastian Schneider and their multidisciplinary team. For the firm, this event is an important milestone in order to not only maintain the international market position already gained as a medium-sized national law firm, but to significantly expand international mandates in the future.
